Each year Ide Adobe holds their annual Horseshoe Contest and this year is their 26th. The contest is special in that everything is done in period clothing with 1850's rules.

Park staff, volunteers in 1850s style clothing; hands-on traditional Christmas activities, include making rag dolls, snowflakes, hand-dipped candles, tin punching. Sing Christmas carols. Cider, warm bread pudding, sweetmeats, old-fashioned cookies.
